Ahead of their trip to Bet365 stadium to take on Stoke City, Manchester United’s manager, José Mourinho says their hosts are a ‘difficult’ side to play against.

United have started the season on an impressive note, having won three matches in three, and scoring ten goals without conceding any.

However, they face a different proposition this weekend in Stoke, at the Bet365 stadium, a venue the Red Devils last won a game at in December 18, 2013.

Jose Mourinho expects a tough match against Stoke City this saturday

“Stoke are difficult [to play against]; they are aggressive, they defend with a lot of people, and they are dangerous in set-pieces,” Mourinho said during his pre-match press conference.

“It’s a stadium that puts a lot of pressure [on] too. So, I think it’s going to be difficult again. Hopefully, we can be better than in previous years and win but difficult it is going to be, for sure.”

United, who are top of league with nine points, take on the Potters in a late kickoff on Saturday, and will be hoping for a better outing than their last visit there, when they needed a late goal from substitute, Wayne Rooney, to salvage a draw.
