The Handball Federation of Nigeria has invited six Adorable Angels players to the National team camp in Abuja ahead of the 2021 African Women Handball Championship.

The 24th African Women Handball Championship will take place in Cameroon next June.

The players invited includes; Idowu Abdulrazaq (Most Valuable Player/Highest Goal scorer at the 2020 Prudent Energy Handball League), Wuraola Nuhu (Best Left Back), Muhinat Yusuf (Best Right Back), Rebecca John (Best Right-Wing), Aisha Adio and Ramat Alawaye.

In an interview with www.aclsports.com, the head coach of Adorable Angels Handball Club, Isiaka Atanda expressed happiness over the call up of his players.

Atanda said the selection shows the federation is monitoring and encouraging players from the Prudent Energy Handball League.

He said the set of players invited to the national camp ahead of the Nation’s Cup will give their best to the country.

He said, “I am happy that some of my players are in the national camp in Abuja. In 2019, we had two players at the African Games camp but one player made it to the African Games in Morocco. Having six players in camp currently means the federation is monitoring the progress of most of the teams in the league.

“I want to commend the Federation for ensure the most fittest players are invited to camp and this will inspire most players in the league to put in more efforts”.
