Tanzanian side Simba Queens have announced the signing of midfielder Amarachi Odoma from NWFL Premiership side Edo Queens, www.aclsports.com reports.

Odoma played a pivotal role in Edo Queens’ 2023/24 NWFL title-winning campaign, helping the club to victory at the WAFU-B Champions League qualifiers before a fourth-place finish at the CAF Women’s Champions League. She has also made her debut for the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

Confirming her departure, the Nigeria international posted on social media:
“It’s time to say goodbye to everyone at Edo Queens. I’m truly grateful for everything. I’ve made amazing memories here and gained so much experience. Big thanks to my teammates, coaches, fans, and everyone who has been part of my journey. Now it’s time to start a new chapter. I’ll always support the team and wish them the very best. Adaa Edo Queens! Always in my heart.”

Her experience and hunger for a new challenge are expected to add depth to Simba Queens as they chase success both at home and on the continent.
