FIBA Africa Zone 3 Champions Rivers Hoopers departed Nigeria in the early hours of Friday to take part in the FIBA Africa Basketball League Group A games in Morocco from Friday, March 1 to Sunday March 3.

11 players and the head coach Ogoh Odaudu arrived at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos at 9pm Nigerian time on Thursday and departed by Air Maroc on Friday at 5am.

Rivers Hoopers will play their opening game on Friday at 7:30pm local time against host and defending Champions AS Sale before playing SLAC of Guinea and JS Kairouan of Tunisia on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
