Bendel Insurance defeated Rivers United 2-1 in their NPFL match day 10 clash in Benin to end the away side’s unbeaten start to the season, reports www.aclsports.com.

Kennedy Boboye’s side, who had won all their previous games at home before this, did just enough once again to continue their winning streak at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

New Nigeria U23 invitee Freeman Wuchirwe handed the Benin Arsenals the lead before Chijioke Mbaoma equalized for the visitors. However, Jonathan Mairiga scored a late goal to snatch all three points for the home side.

It finished 1-1 between Barau FC and Kwara United in Kano. Anthony Sunday’s opener was cancelled out by Goodluck Ogbolu for the visitors. Meanwhile, it finished goalless between Warri Wolves and Kano Pillars in Ozoro.
