NPFL side Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) defeated a stubborn Kebbi United 2-1 in their President Federation Cup round of 64 tie on Wednesday, www.aclsports.com reports.

Following some top-flight casualties on Tuesday, Shooting Stars came into this encounter cautiously, as Nurudeen Aweroro named a strong line-up for the match played at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch in Abuja.

After a goalless first half of dominance but without goals, 3SC entered the second half with a bit of purpose, and they were unlucky early on. However, all three goals of the contest were scored in the space of six minutes.
