Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has admitted he is finding his old form back after netting his first pair of goals for Fulham in the narrow defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday night, www.aclsports.com reports.
It was a dramatic Premier League game at the Cottage as Fulham were edged out 5-4 by Manchester City in a breathless encounter. Chukwueze came off the bench to score twice, while compatriot Alex Iwobi was also on the scoresheet.
Despite the disappointment, the AC Milan loanee – whose first two goals in English football helped claw his side back – praised the character shown by the team.
“It was a crazy game today,” Chukwueze said post-match. “We conceded goals we shouldn’t have conceded but I liked the spirit of the team for the comeback.
“The chances we created in the second half were almost there. It was a difficult one to take because we wanted three wins in a row and it didn’t happen, but we’ll keep our heads up. We fought until the last minute and on Sunday (against Crystal Palace) we’re going to give everything for the fans.”

The Nigeria international, who has now had four goal contributions since after the international break, admitted that his standout personal performance meant little without a result to match.
“For me, it’s a good feeling to score two goals but not a good feeling to lose. If I had scored my two goals and we won, it would have meant a lot to me – but for now, it doesn’t mean a lot.”
Chukwueze also spoke about his confidence, and the continuous support he has received from his teammates and the head coach.
“I think I’m finding myself. The coach believes in me. That’s the most important thing – a coach that believes in you, pushes you and the fans. My teammates push me a lot, so I have to give them credit and the coach credit as well.”
Chukwueze will hope to continue his scintillating form when Fulham host Crystal Palace in a league game this weekend.
