Six-time African women’s player of the year, Asisat Oshoala, has signed a two-year contract with Al-Hilal, www.aclsports.com reports.

The Super Falcons forward leaves Bay FC, where she joined in January 2024 following a five-year stint with FC Barcelona. She will join the likes of Ashleigh Plumptre, Francisca Ordega, and other international stars already competing in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.

Oshoala, 30, has won the UEFA Women’s Champions League three times with Barcelona, along with multiple domestic league and cup titles in across Europe. She recently won her fourth WAFCON title with the Super Falcons in Morocco, further cementing her legacy in African football.

Her move highlights the growing investment in women’s football in Saudi Arabia, as clubs attract top international talent to elevate the league’s profile.

Her arrival is set to boost Al-Hilal’s ambitions in the Saudi Women’s Premier League, adding world-class experience and firepower to their squad for the coming seasons. It also adds another chapter to her distinguished career, having played in England, China, Spain, and the United States.
