Ondo, Delta, and Kwara top the medals table at the National Youth Games

Ondo State remains firm on top of the medals table with a total of 27 medals at the ongoing National Youth Games (NYG), in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Ondo leads the park with Delta State following closely after day 7 of the games.

The medal table released by the chairman, Technical Sub Committee, Dr Emmanuel Igbinosa indicates that Ondo have garnered 9 gold, 10 silver and 8 bronze medals while in second position, Delta has 9 gold, 8 silver and 15 bronze, making it of 32 medals (for Delta state).

Kwara leaped to third position with a total of 13 medals; 6 Gold, 4 silver and 3 Bronze, while Akwa Ibom sits in fourth position with 5 gold, 5 Silver and 7 bronze medals.

Benue has 5 gold, 1 silver and 3 Bronze medals, Niger is in the 6th position with 3 golds, Bayelsa occupies the 7th position with 3 gold, 2 silver with 8 bronze.

Ogun has 2 Gold, 5 Silver and 8 bronze in the 8th position and Plateau on the 9th position with 1 Gold 3 silver and 5 bronze, Kano state is 10th with 2 Gold 4 silver and 4 Bronze medals.

Oyo has 2 Gold, 2 silver and 3 Bronze in 11th position while 12th position goes to Bauchi with 2 Gold 1 silver and 2 Bronze.
