Matchday 9 of the 2025/26 NWFL Premiership delivered another round of exciting fixtures packed with goals. Nasarawa Amazons recorded a 4–2 win over Robo Queens, Rivers Angels halted Edo Queens’ six-match winning streak in the South-South derby, while defending champions Bayelsa Queens bounced back with a 2–0 win on Wednesday, www.aclsports.com reports.

At the Lafia City Stadium, Nasarawa Amazons triumphed 4–2 over FC Robo Queens in a thrilling six-goal encounter, condemning the visitors to back-to-back away losses. Sunday Ohunene opened the scoring in the 2nd minute before Joy Iortyom equalised for Robo in the 14th. Ayatsea Hembafan restored Nasarawa’s lead two minutes later, and Jumoke Alani made it 3–1 before half-time (40’). Bibiana Odoh added a fourth just after the restart (46’), while Rafiu Tosin pulled one back in the 76th minute.

In the South-South derby, Rivers Angels halted Edo Queens’ six-match winning run with a 2–1 victory at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt. Abasiofon Uwah fired the hosts ahead in the 14th minute before Atume Doosuur drew Edo level in the 26th, her sixth goal of the season. Uwah struck again on the stroke of half-time (45’) to complete her brace and seventh goal of the campaign, securing all three points for Rivers.

Defending champions Bayelsa Queens returned to winning ways with a 2–0 victory over Ekiti Queens in Yenagoa. Bankole Sofiat opened the scoring in the 24th minute, before Delight Isaac doubled the lead in the 55th to seal the win.

The result marked Remo’s third consecutive win and fourth game unbeaten, while Dannaz suffered back-to-back defeats.

Adamawa Queens edged Heartland Queens 2–1 in Makwada. Omon Afensimi netted twice (18’, 55’), while an own goal by Immaculate Paul (28’) briefly brought Heartland level.

At the Bwari Stadium, Naija Ratels claimed their first win of the season with a 1–0 triumph over Pacesetter Queens thanks to Omeje Chukwube’s 48th-minute strike, leaving the visitors still without a victory.

There were plenty of goals in Aba as Abia Angels thrashed Ahudiyannem Queens 5–2. Winner David bagged a first-half hat-trick (12’, 28’, 43’), while Blessing Saleh (83’) and Obianuju Akwubo (87’) added further goals. Chiwendu Orji (45+3’) and Tobi Oghenerugba (90+2’) scored for the visitors.

Elsewhere, Osun Babes and Delta Queens played out a 1–1 draw in Ile-Ogbo, with Favour Damaris putting Delta Queens ahead in the 19th minute before Tabitha Terlumun equalised for Osun Babes in the 44th.
