Nigeria U17 women’s coach, Hakeem Busari, has invited 26 players to the Flamingos’ camp in Abuja as preparations begin for the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, www.aclsports.com reports.
Captain and Bayelsa Queens forward Harmony Chidi, alongside several players from NWFL clubs and academies across the country, are expected to report to Serob Legacy Hotel, Wuye, Abuja, on Sunday, 30 August.
The Flamingos secured their place at the tournament in Morocco, scheduled to run from 17 October to 7 November, after defeating Benin Republic home and away in the final round of the African qualification campaign. Nigeria has missed only one edition of the tournament since it was launched in New Zealand in 2008, failing to qualify for the 2018 finals in Uruguay.
