Nigeria have named a 16-player squad for the inaugural IHF Women’s Nations Trophy Africa Zone III in Burkina Faso, www.aclsports.com reports.
The tournament is scheduled for September 2 to 6, 2026, in Ouagadougou, with Nigeria’s Senior Women’s Handball team set to begin its campaign against Ghana on Thursday, September 3, before taking on hosts Burkina Faso on Friday, September 4.
As part of their final preparations, the team, led by head coach Michael Taangahar and assistant coach Innocent Chukwuma Nwankwo, is expected to travel to Benin Republic for friendly matches before making the trip to Ouagadougou.
