The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has opened its Premiership mid-season transfer window from 25 February to 4 March, giving clubs a limited yet important chance to strengthen their squads before the second round of the 2025/26 season, which kicks off on 11 March, www.aclsports.com reports.

In a press release on Friday, 27 February, the league confirmed that the eight-day transfer window will close on 4 March, just before the resumption of the second round with Matchday 10 on Wednesday, 11 March.

At the end of the first round, Bayelsa Queens FC led Group A on goal difference, level on points with Rivers Angels, while FC Robo Queens topped Group B after nine rounds.

With only the top three teams from each group advancing to the Super Six and the bottom four facing relegation, both groups remain highly competitive.

As the NWFL second round begins, title contenders will look to consolidate their positions at the top, while teams chasing a Super Six berth are expected to be active in the transfer market to strengthen their squads for the decisive phase.
