NWFL announces kickoff date, venue and groups for 2025 season

The Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) has confirmed the kickoff date, venue, and groupings for the 2025 Nationwide League, www.aclsports.com reports.

Following the release of the official schedule on Wednesday in Abuja, NWFL Chief Operating Officer Modupe Shabi revealed that the competition will run from October 10 to 17 at the Bwari Township Stadium in the Federal Capital Territory.

Ten teams will compete in two groups of five, with fixtures spread across five matchdays. Matches are scheduled for October 11, 13, 14, 16, and 17, while October 12 and 15 have been set aside as rest days.

Per the competition rules, the top two teams from each group will be promoted to the NWFL Championship.

Sporting Angels FC (Rivers State), Alexander Queens FC (Enugu State), Rosaria Victrix FC (Imo State), NAF Queens FC (Abuja), Solo Wonders FC (Akwa Ibom State)

Back on the calendar after its cancellation, the Nationwide will again provide opportunities for teams and players to push toward higher levels of competition.
