Nigerian players abroad returned to action for their respective clubs after the international break, with striker Edna Imade ending Barcelona Femení’s unbeaten league run and forward Esther Okoronkwo providing an assist,  www.aclsports.com reports.

Edna Imade converted a penalty as Real Sociedad stunned Barcelona Femení 1–0 to end their unbeaten league run. The defeat was Barcelona’s first of the season and their first away league loss since May 2023, while also marking the first time they have failed to score in a league match since January 2020. Imade, joint-top scorer in Liga F, recently claimed the league’s Player of the Month award for October. Meanwhile, at Levante, Kalu Chinyere and Paulina Ali started in a 4–2 defeat to Tenerife, with Zipporah Agama named among the substitutes.

Over in North America, Esther Okoronkwo who impressed for the Super Falcons against Benin Republic to help secure Nigeria’s place at the 2026 WAFCON, continued her strong form. The forward provided the assist for Nikki Small to score the opener, the first-ever play-off goal in Northern Super League history, as AFC Toronto earned a 2–0 win over Montreal Roses in the semi-final first leg on Saturday, 1 November. She was withdrawn at half-time and replaced by Kaylee Hunter, who sealed the victory in the 71st minute.

In Turkey, Flourish Sabastine was on target again for Fenerbahçe in the Turkish Women’s Süper Lig. Marta Cox opened scoring from the spot before Sabastine fired home the second, taking her tally to three goals in her last two matches as the Istanbul club secured another important result.

Back in France, Jennifer Echegini made a bright return for Paris Saint-Germain after missing Nigeria’s qualifiers through injury. She set up Romee Leuchter for the opener in a 2–0 win over Le Havre in Division 1 Féminine, with Leuchter adding a second before half-time. Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade was an unused substitute.

In England, Chiamaka Nnadozie made six saves for Brighton & Hove Albion, but her efforts were not enough as they fell 3–2 to Manchester United in the WSL. Toni Payne featured for Everton in a thrilling 3–3 draw with Aston Villa, departing in the 66th minute, while Rofiat Imuran played for London City Lionesses in a 2–0 loss to Chelsea.

Over in Italy, Shukurat Oladipo was an unused substitute as AS Roma claimed a 3–0 win over Inter Milan in Serie A Femminile, while Rinsola Babajide remains sidelined due to injury.

And in Portugal, Christy Ucheibe was an unused substitute as Benfica recorded a convincing 5–0 victory over Marítimo in the Liga BPI.
