Nigeria arrive Georgia for IHF Emerging Nations

Nigeria handball team have arrived Georgia ahead of the IHF Men’s Emerging Nations Championship. The 3rd edition of the IHF Men’s Emerging Nations Championship will take place from 8th to 16th June 2019 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

In a list obtained by www.aclsports.com, the 14 man squad consists of three foreign players and 11 home based players.

The foreign players are; Oladunjoye Adamolugbe (Al Shamal of Doha), Obinna Anih (Kawkab Athletic Club Marrakech of Morocco) and Philip Kalu (Maccabi Holon of Israel).

The home based players includes; Micahael Agbaji (Kano Pillars), Emeka Emmanuel (Niger United), Kingsley Okubuike (Kano Pillars), Suleiman Mohammed (Niger United), Danlami Mohammed (Safety Shooters), Gbenga Cole (Safety Shooters), Gbenga Rotibi (Lagos Seasiders), Mohammed Anas (Niger United), Matthew Ibitoye, Owolabi Adio (Lagos Seasiders) and Joseph Gbawan(COAS Shooters).

The team will be guided by Kano Pillars gaffer, Solomon Yola and coach of COAS Shooters, Emeka Nnamani. The President of Handball Federation, Samuel Ocheho will accompany the team.

Nigeria is in group B with Bulgaria, Georgia, Ireland, Malta and United States.
