Nigeria Women Football League side, Naija Ratels have appointed Sabo Okala Awala as their new Technical Adviser ahead of the 2025/26 season, www.aclsports.com reports.

Awala, who previously handled Confluence Queens, takes over from Samson Keshi, who left after guiding the Abuja-based side to a 6th-place finish at the Super 6 Championship in Ikenne, Ogun State, which rounded off the 2024/25 campaign.

Unveiled on Wednesday in Abuja, Awala expressed gratitude for the opportunity and assured fans that the team would compete strongly for honours in the coming season.

“I appreciate the confidence the club has shown in me. We will give everything both on and off the pitch to achieve success, and our target is to challenge for the league title,” he stated.

With their new gaffer in place, the Ratels will now shift focus to fine-tuning preparations for the 2025/26 season.
