Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has promised to increase the prize money at the 2018 edition of the ITTF Nigeria Open.

Ambode was present on Sunday at the finals of the men’s doubles, women’s singles and men’s singles which took place at the Molade Thomas-Okoya Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Speaking after the trophy presentation, Governor Ambode promised to increase the prize money from next edition which he believes would attract more players to honour the competition.
