Three Super Falcons stars Rita Chikwelu, Francisca Ordega and Chiwendu Ihezuo were on target for their respective clubs in what was an impressive weekend for the players.

In China, Ordega was on target as Shanghai Shengli defeated Guangdong Meizhou Huijun 3-1 to return to winning ways. Shanghai had previously played three consecutive draws with a win eluding them in recent games. A convincing performance was however needed this time to get all three points with Ordega playing her part and contributing a goal to ensure victory.

Elsewhere in China, Ihezuo scored the consolation for Henan Huishang who lost 1 – 3 to Changchun. Ihezuo’s goal makes it her seventh this season as she moves joint third on the Chinese Women’s Soccer League goal scorer’s chart.

In Spain, Asisat Oshoala will have to wait for her first league goal of the season as Barcelona Women played out a 1-1 draw away to Rayo Vallecano Women.

Oshoala started the match from the bench and was only introduced in the second half as she helped her side earn a vital away point.

Meanwhile CD Tacon new signing Osinachi Ohale made a winning debut for her side in Spain.

Ohale has expressed her delight after helping CD Tacon record a 3-0 win on her debut against Sporting de Huelva on Saturday.

The Super Falcons centre back completed her up her move to the Spanish side from Sweden’s Vaxjo on Friday and has helped her new team bounce back to winning ways from a horrible 9-1 loss to Barcelona last week.

Halimatu Ayinde and Ngozi Okobi featured from the start as Eskilstuna United picked up a big away win over Linkoping in Sweden.

Faith Micheal also played the entire duration as Pitea IF claimed a 4-1 victory over Vaxjo.

Chikwelu was on target for Kristianstad as her side recorded a 5-0 win over Kungsbacka in the Swedish Damallsvenskan. Kristianstad currently sit third with 31 points; 7 points off Rosengard at the top of the table.
