The much-anticipated international friendly between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon here has been rescheduled to Monday, June 2, 2025, due to the Cameroonian team’s delayed arrival, www.aclsports.com reports.

Originally planned as a double-header, the fixture has now been reduced to a single match and will take place at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The rescheduling follows logistical complications surrounding Cameroon’s travel arrangements, which prevented the visitors from arriving in time for the initial fixture. While fans had looked forward to two games as part of preparations for upcoming competitions, the revised schedule now offers just one opportunity for the Super Falcons to assess her squad ahead of the 2024 WAFCON tournament.

Despite the change, the Super Falcons are expected to field a strong side, with several domestic and foreign-based players already in camp.

Kick-off details for the June 2 match will be confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in due course.
