Morocco 2024: CAF announces match schedule for WAFCON

CAF has officially announced the match schedule for the TotalEnergies CAF WAFCON Morocco 2024, which will take place from 5 to 26 July 2025, www.aclsports.com reports.

The highly anticipated opening match will see hosts Morocco take on Zambia on Saturday, 5 July 2025, at the newly constructed Olympic Stadium in Rabat, with kick-off set for 21:00 local time (20:00 GMT).

The action continues the following day with a packed schedule of three matches, highlighted by a standout clash between record nine-time champions Nigeria and Tunisia, kicking off at 17:00 local time.

Defending champions South Africa will begin their title defence on 7 July (Match Day 3), squaring off against Ghana in a Group C showdown at the Honneur Stadium in Oujda. The day’s fixtures will conclude with Mali taking on Tanzania in an evening contest in Berkane.

The tournament will draw to a close with the Final on Saturday, 26 July 2025, at Rabat’s Olympic Stadium, with kick-off set for 21:00 local time.

CAF aims to grow women’s football in Africa with record attendance, viewership, and digital engagement. All 26 matches will be broadcast live in high definition via CAF’s global TV partners..
