After a 3 month break of the Kwese Premier Basketball League, action resumes on Thursday with the Conference play-offs holding in Bauchi and Lagos for the Savannah and Atlantic Conference respectively.

The Tijani Umar-led faction, handlers of the KwesePBL have now decided to bring the regular season to a close after 6 games played.

Chairman of the Kwese Premier League Board, Olumide Oyedeji, speaking in Lagos at the Technical Meeting preceding the Jump Ball, advised all the participating teams to keep to the rules of the game and play fairly.

Last season’s Conference champions, Kwara Falcons will battle Customs in the first game of the Atlantic Conference holding at the Indoor Hall of the Nitel Training Centre at Oshodi in Lagos.

The second game in Lagos is between Delta Force of Asaba and Police Baton of Lagos while last season’s third place winners, Hoops & Read will face Anambra Flames before the day’s last game between Oluyole Warriors and Comets of Lagos.

At the Bauchi centre, Niger Potters play host team Bauchi Nets in the first game, last season’s runners-up, Gombe Bulls play Defenders of Abuja while defending champions, Kano Pillars will play city mates, AHIP Giants in the last game of the day. Plateau Peaks drew bye.

ACLSports also gathered that Engr Musa Kida led NBBF is also set to commence it’s own organised league after the completion of the National final 8 of the 2018 Total NBBF Division 2 next month.

Nigeria Prisons Reformers (Niger) will slug it out with Nassarawa Golden Touch, Taraba Hurricanes, Bukavu Blinks (Kano), CAMAC (Bayelsa), Coal City (Enugu), Ondo Kings (Akure) and Brave Hearts for the Total NBBF National Division 2 title between October 2-6.

Rivers Hoopers and Mark Mentors are the two confirmed teams set to play Kida led organised league after pulling out of the KwesePBL at the start of the 2018 season.
