João Felix has landed the LaLiga Santander Player of the Month award for March after turning in a series of stellar displays for the Rojiblancos as he helped himself to a trio of goals and an assist in his three outings last month.

Atleti enjoyed a sensational March, in which they emerged victorious in all three of their league matches. The Portuguese prodigy was the team’s leading light in these games and kicked off the month in style by bagging his maiden LaLiga Santander brace against Real Betis to help the Colchoneros to a 3-1 away success.

The youngster was also instrumental in the Madrilenians’ next game, a 2-1 triumph over Cadiz CF, in which he set the hosts on the way to victory with a third-minute opener. The talismanic attacker also shone in the side’s away win over Rayo Vallecano, a contest which saw him slip Koke in to stroke home the only goal of the game.

The Portuguese starlet claims the award from February’s winner, Real Madrid shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois, after beating off stiff competition from Karim Benzema (Real Madrid), Gonçalo Guedes (Valencia CF), Sergi Darder (RCD Espanyol), Chimy Avila (CA Osasuna) and Ruben Alcaraz (Cadiz).
