Coach of Niger United Handball Club, Yekini Adebayo says his team is determined to win the 2021 Prudent Energy Handball League title.

Niger United pummeled Police Machine 30 to 16 goals in their first match of the Handball League in Abuja on Thursday.

Adebayo said his side witnessed the most embarrassing league during the 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League adding that Niger United have learnt their lessons.

He told www.aclsports.com that the win against Police Machine will spur the players to play harder and better in their subsequent matches.

The ex-Niger United player said, “After a disastrous 2019 outing, I am happy my players are getting their rhythm in the first match. Niger United stands a chance of lifting this season’s Prudent Energy Handball League with what the players played today.

You are aware that during the last campaign, Niger United lost seven straight matches which has not happened since the creation of the club. “The players, coaching crew and members of Niger State Handball Association present at the ongoing league were happy to see the team record their first victory of the campaign.”

Adebayo revealed that his team will go all out against stubborn Plateau Vipers in their next match.

He said, “The coaching crew of the team are expecting the best from the players as they play against Plateau Vipers on Friday.

“I must confess; the shock of our last campaign is still fresh in our memories were 10 players left the club but we signed two players to fortify the team due to the transfer fee.”
