Adaobi Okoro has stated her desire to deliver the trophy to Defenders Babes ahead of the 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League in Abuja.

The Defenders Babes’ player told www.aclsports.com that her team lost the league last season due to some unforeseen reasons.

The pivot player is confident of making the top three places at the end of the first phase.

She said, “We, Defenders Babes, are fully ready for the 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League. I want to help my darling team lift the trophy this season.

“Last season league, I was not fully prepared due to some reasons best known to me; but this time around, it is going to be fire for fire”.

Okoro who was adjudged the best pivot player (female) last season said she is not under pressure as the league kicks off on Tuesday.

She hailed the leadership of Samuel Ocheho led board for rescuing handball in Nigeria.

Defenders Babes will take on Kada Queens on Tuesday at the first phase of the league.
