The head coach of Confluence handball teams, Peter Philip says his side will pose serious threats to other teams at the National Handball Division one league in Kaduna.

The National Handball Division one league is scheduled to hold from 13th to 22nd November, 2019.

Philip told www.aclsports.com that the squad is happy with the preparations adding that the team has been in closed camp for two weeks.

He said, “Confluence Stars (men) and Confluence Queens (women) will pose serious threats to other teams at the upcoming National Handball Division one league in Kaduna. We are ready for the league and the team has been working hard for the past two weeks in Abuja.

“We have done well. Training has not been easy: we have gone through some drills in camp, so we know the kind of training we have done”.

Philip said his target is to promote both teams to the 2020 Prudent Energy Handball League.

He said, “Kogi state belongs to the elite league and my target is to ensure we secure promotion to the 2020 Prudent Energy Handball League. We have players scattered across various elite clubs in Nigeria and it is time for us to also take the state teams there.

“Kogi state will parade some players who were invited to the national camp of the U18 and 20 as well as two players who won the U17 championship in Lagos.”, he told www.aclsports.com
