Former Nigeria international, Victor Moses, returned to Chelsea’s match day squad following a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Moses was on the substitute bench throughout the tie as the side managed by Maurizio Sarri squeezed past a stubborn Forest side at home.

Spaniard, Alvaro Morata scored both goals in the second half to seal their passage to the fourth round of the competition.

It was Moses’ first appearance in a match day squad since the Europa League encounter against Bate Borisov in October 24, 2018.

Elsewhere, Arsenal playmaker, Alex Iwobi ensured the Gunners joined their London rivals, Chelsea, in the next phase of the FA Cup with yet another superb performance following a 3-0 thrashing of Blackpool.

Iwobi has been excellent for Unai Emery’s men this season and at Bloomfield Road, he scored his side’s third goal after youngster, Joseph Willock first half brace gave them a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Meanwhile, it was a different story at the Vitality stadium where Leon Balogun helped Brighton & Hove Albion secure a 1-3 win over their hosts, Bournemouth, while Oghenekaro Etebo’s Stoke City will replay their game against Shrewsbury Town after they were held to a 1-1 draw.

Other FA Cup results saw Everton beat Lincoln City 2-1, Cardiff City lost 1-0 at Gillingham with Derby County and Southampton playing out a thrilling 2-2 draw.
