World record holder Tobi Amusan, produced a standout display at the 2025 Paris Diamond League, clocking a season’s best time of 12.24s to finish second in the women’s 100m hurdles, www.aclsports.com reports.

The time marks her second-fastest ever, behind only her world record of 12.12s.

Amusan, came storming through the final meters, closing rapidly on Grace Stark of the United States, who had burst out of the blocks with intent and held on to win with a personal best and meeting record of 12.21s, a time that makes her the fifth-fastest woman ever over the 100m hurdles. Jamaica’s Ackera Nugent finished third in a swift 12.30s.

This performance is the latest milestone in what has been a steady and impressive resurgence for the Nigerian star. She won her first 100m hurdles race of the year at the Rabat Diamond League, clocking a then season’s best of 12.45s. Paris marked her fourth Diamond League outing of the season as she continues to build form and consistency ahead of major championships.

Now, with a stunning 12.24s, her best since setting the world record in 2022, Amusan has reasserted herself as a major force in women’s sprint hurdles.

With the World Championships on the horizon, Tobi Amusan is peaking at just the right time. The chase for gold, and perhaps another record-breaking moment, is officially on.
