D’Tigress are aiming for a historic fifth consecutive AfroBasket crown, having claimed the title in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2023, and six times overall. The 2025 edition of the tournament will take place in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from July 25 to August 3, 2025, as the West African nation prepares to host the continent’s best.

As part of preparations, the team will host the Homecoming Tournament in Abuja, a pivotal component of their training camp. The event will feature exhibition games, fan engagement activities, a media day, and a special recognition ceremony for returning champions. It also offers home fans a rare chance to rally behind the team on Nigerian soil before they begin their title defense.

With the preliminary roster unveiled and the Homecoming Tournament around the corner, the road to AfroBasket 2025 has officially begun.

All eyes are now on Nigeria as the champions prepare to write their next chapter.
