World record holder Tobi Amusan headlines the 29 athletes invited by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) to camp ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, www.aclsports.com reports.

The two-time Commonwealth Games champion Amusan tops the list, which features several of Nigeria’s leading track and field names across sprinting, jumps, and throws.

Also included are sprinters Kayinsola Ajayi and Favour Ashe, both expected to play key roles in the men’s sprint events, alongside other emerging talents invited to the national camp.

The women’s squad also features Blessing Ogundiran, Rosemary Chukwuma, Tima Godbless, Miracle Ezechukwu, Olayinka Olajide, and Obi Chukwuka, who will all look to boost Nigeria’s medal hopes in Glasgow.

On the men’s side, selections include Alaba Akintola, Israel Okon, Udodi Onwuzurike, Samuel Ogazi, Edidiong Udo, Tyler Johnson, Ezekiel Nathaniel, Jami Schlueter, and Chinecherem Nnamdi, among others, across sprint and field events.
