Premier League side, Leicester City, could be without their Nigerian star, Wilfred Ndidi, when they take on Chelsea on Saturday.

Ndidi is a major injury doubt and set to miss the Foxes’ trip to Stamford Bridge due to a possible knee problem according to his manager, Claude Puel.

Puel revealed this much during his pre-match press conference on Thursday.

“We have doubts about Wilfred [Ndidi],” Puel said. [But] we will see tomorrow [for Chelsea]. It’s about his knee.”

The defensive midfielder was impressive in midweek during their Carabao Cup quarterfinal loss to English champions, Manchester City.

Ndidi featured from start to finish, and provided the assist that led to Leicester’s equaliser in as the match ended 1-1 at the King Power before the Cityzens secured a 3-1 victory in the shootout.

He has featured in all 17 PL matches for Leicester this season, with just a goal to his name.
