The Home-based Super Eagles, also known as Super Eagles B, continued their preparations for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against Ghana with a 4-0 win over Emmydinho on Wednesday,  www.aclsports.com reports.

Remo Stars striker Sikiru Alimi notched a first-half hat-trick with Shooting Stars forward Samuel Ayanrinde scoring the other goal in the first-half blitz.

Assistant coaches Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Ilechukwu took charge of proceedings as the side engaged in their second test game of the final phase of preparations for the qualifiers against Ghana.

After a flurry of missed chances in the opening quarter of an hour, the Super Eagles B side seized control of the game as Sikiru Alimi scored the game’s opening two goals before Ayanrinde grabbed a goal of his own just before the half-hour mark.

Alimi went on to complete his hat-trick three minutes before the break after being put through on goal by Ayanrinde.

The coaching crew made wholesome changes to the team as the likes of Kazeem Ogunleye, Papa Daniel, Emmanuel Ogbole and Victor Collins were introduced after the interval.

Enyimba goalkeeper Ani Ozoemena made some fine stops to deny the third division side a goal of their own. Meanwhile, Vincent Temitope scored to complete the rout in stoppage time.

NPFL top scorer Anas Yusuf and Abia Warriors’ Sunday Megwo were some of the players that did not feature in the contest.

The Super Eagles B will continue their  preparations with another friendly game against non-league side G12 on Thursday morning.

Super Eagles B XI: Badmus Nurudeen; Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Stephen Manyo, Junior Nduka; Waliu Ojetoye, Imo Obot, Isaac Saviour, Jide Fatokun, Rabiu Ali; Sikiru Alimi, Samuel Ayanrinde.
