One of Nigeria’s representatives in the 2019/20 CAF Champions League (CAFCL) Kano Pillars on Friday morning arrived in Ghana ahead of this weekend’s game against Asante Kotoko.

Pillars won the first leg of their preliminary round tie against the Ghanaian champions 3-2 in Kano twelve days ago.

Players and officials of the 2014 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions touched down at the Accra International Airport at about 11:00am local time on Friday.

The team have since proceeded to Kumasi, venue of Sunday’s game by road with an arrival time of 3:00pm Nigerian time on their itinerary.

Pillars, coached by Ibrahim Musa Jugunu spent the past four days camping in Kaduna ahead of the make-or-mar return leg against Kotoko.

While in Kaduna, they played two preparatory games against local sides. They drew 1-1 with Zaria Nasara FC before beating a Kaduna Selected side 3-0, all earlier this week.

Sunday’s game is billed for the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi at 3:00pm local time (4:00PM in Nigeria).
