Buhari to receive victorious D’Tigress tomorrow – Dalung

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, has revealed that President  Muhamadu Buhari will host the victorious D’Tigreses before the Federal Executive meeting on Wednesday.

“I am pleased to inform you that Mr president will host the victorious D’Tigress during the Federal Executive meeting,” Dalung said.

Dalung said this on Tuesday in Abuja during the reception organised for the team by the Ministry of Sports and the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF).

The NBBF president Musa Kida, while presenting  the team to the minister, said: “The trophy you are seeing today was a result of hard work and help from Almighty because it was barely just one month of our inauguration.

“The vision for to develop grassroots has help us to have dominate all the Africa counterparts,” he said.

He promised to leave no stone upturned to ensure basketball take it full place in the country that which bring about growth and development to the entire country.

The Captain of the team Hayizat Muhammed thanked Nigerians for their prayer and the support, saying “if not for the support of every Nigerian and prayer the team will not have won the trophy.”
