Athletics: Ogho-Oghene Egwero ready for 2020 NSF

2018 National Sports Festival (NSF) 100m silver medallist, Ogho-Oghene Egwero says he is ready to contend with other athletes at the forthcoming 2020 Sports Festival in Edo state.

The 20th edition of the National Sports Festival is scheduled to take place from 22nd March to 1st April, 2020 in Edo state.

The 2x Olympian told www.aclsports.com that preparation for the 2020 games has been in top gear since the four quarter of 2019.

The former African Champion said, “I am ready for my other opponents in the various track events; I always see myself as a title contender and an outstanding athlete in every tournament; this one will not be different.

“Since the last quarter of 2019, I have been preparing for the 2020 NSF at the CAA High Performance in Rivers state which has helped shape my running abilities and have observed rapid improvement in every of my races”.

The USC heldelberg of Germany athlete disclosed that the level of competitiveness will be high because most Nigeria athletes will intend making Personal Best (PB) or Season Best (SB).

The former Al Nasr Dubai athlete said, “I know everyone is coming to give his best at the National Sports Festival because this is our own Olympics. The level of competitiveness is going to be high due to the fact that everyone will be targeting a Personal Best (PB) or Season Best (SB)”.

Ogho-Oghene Egwero will participate in the 100m, 200m, 4x100m and 4×100 mixed events at the 2020 National Sports Festival.
