Odion Ighalo has found favour in the eyes of Nigerians after another wonderful performance against Libya in an AFCON2019Q.
Ighalo scored a brace as Nigeria’s Super Eagles survived a scare to beat their hosts, Libya 3-2 in Sfax on Tuesday evening.
Ighalo put Nigeria ahead before turning provider for Ahmed Musa to double the lead. However, the Libyans fought back to level scores at 2-2.
Then, with time running out, a superb solo effort from Ighalo saw the China based star leave Libyan defenders for dead before calmly slotting home the winner.

It was his fifth goal against the North Africans in two outings, after his hattrick heroics against them in Uyo on Saturday, leading to showers of praises from his countrymen.
Here are some of the best reactions to his man of the match performance in Tunisia.
Let’s kick this off with some history class, shall we?
Odion Ighalo has come a long way since Egypt 2009. I think he has been able to maintain a good level of good attitude to get to where he is today. I am happy for him.

That winner was vintage Odion Ighalo. The guy collected the patent for that '68' dribble from Papilo Kanu. On my small phone screen I was deceived as the cameraman – never mind the poor defenders. Finished with calm. Well done, lad. 5 goals in 2 games. Carry go abeg!! ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ

Odion Ighalo with 5 goals in his last 2 matches, Cristiano Ronaldo with 0 goals in his last 2 matches. Ighalo is the goat, Cristiano Ronaldo is the Asun.

Does Gernot Rohr deserve praise as well for the win? This Nigerian does not think so.
Gernot Rohr should give his match winning bonus to the excellent Odion Ighalo. He got him out of jail tonight . #LIBNGA #AFCON2019Q

And finally, after scoring more goals in these two games against Libya than he had prior to Saturday, are we seeing a rejuvenated Ighalo?
This lady has an answer…
I won't be wrong if I say Libya has awakened Odion Ighalo's Super Eagles career.

With that result, Nigeria has taken charge of Group E on nine points, one ahead of South Africa, who were held to a goalless draw by Seychelles.
Libya stay third, a further five points behind Nigeria, while Seychelles have just a point.
Thumbs up to the Super Eagles! Orion Ighalo MOTM.
SA better be afraid……
