Torino wing back Ola Aina is set to be axed from Nigeria’s starting lineup when they face South Africa in their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarter final clash on Wednesday.

www.aclsports.com scooped that German coach, Rohr has not been impressed with the former Chelsea boy since the Super Eagles’ final group game against Madagascar in Alexandria and is now set to drop him.

With the full recovery of left back Jamilu Collins from a thigh complaint, Rohr is finalizing plans on dropping Aina for Collins to make his first ever Africa Cup of Nations appearance on Wednesday night.

Rohr is however set to stick with the bulk of the team that defeated Cameroon in their round of 16 game on Saturday with the only other change expected to be the introduction of Villareal youngster Samuel Chukwueze for Daddy Moses Simon.

South Africa based goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi is set to retain his goalkeeping spot while Chidozie Awaziem should continue in the right back position.

The duo of captain John Mikel Obi and Abdullahi Shehu will be on the bench for the game scheduled for 9:00PM (8:00PM in Nigeria) at the Cairo International Stadium on Wednesday.

Nigeria’s likely XI
Akpeyi; Awaziem, Ekong, Omeruo, Collins;
Ndidi, Etebo; Chukwueze, Iwobi, Musa; Ighalo.
