Gombe Bulls recorded second consecutive loss in two days to Ferroviario Beira 71-60 points at the 2017 FIBA Africa Champions Cup in Tunisia on Tuesday.

Ferroviario centre, Helton Ubisse had a double-double as he led three other players on double figures. Ubisse had 16 points and 13 rebounds, Ivshyn Maksym added 13 points while Elves Houana and Angelo Warner both contributed 12 points each for the Mozambicans.

Bulls blew their chances away after leading the first quarter (22-19) leaving their opponents to extend the lead to 11 points with 1:17 minutes left on the clock. Ibe Agu’s free throws with 15 seconds remaining reduced the deficit to 6 points going to the break (43-37).

Godwin David came off the bench to score 13 points while Yakubu Sylvanus scored double figures in back to back games for Gombe Bulls as he made 11 points.

Bulls were guilty of 8 turnover balls in the first half and 17 in the entire game while they hit 3/23 from the deep.

The Mozambicans stretched the lead to 17 points with 3:32 remaining on the clock and all efforts made to overturn the deficit proved abortive for the zone 3 representatives.

Gombe Bulls will next play Groupement Sportive Petroliers of Algeria on Wednesday.
