Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Onyinye Ndidi is looking forward to his first Christmas period outing with English side Leicester City. The Premier League in England is famed for its hectic schedule across the Yuletide season and such period starts on Tuesday evening when Ndidi’s Leicester City host Tottenham Hotspur in the first of The Foxes‘ nine matches before 2017 ends.

Ndidi joined Leicester in January this year and has been a super regular with Claude Puel’s men, starting each of their Premier League games so far this season.

“I am looking forward to it (the busy schedule),” Ndidi told LCFC TV.

“Some players may feel fatigued, but it is the time of year when we have to do our best and get as many points as we can.

“It is an important time of the season with a lot of games, we know that the performances we put in and the results we get will determine where we finish in the league.”

On Tuesday night, the 2016 Champions will host Tottenham who have won just one of their last four Premier League games and Ndidi believes that stat will make it more difficult for his side.

“That makes it difficult. A team that has lost three games or have won just once in four games is difficult (to face) in the next game they’re playing because they want to go all out and win.

“So it’s always difficult for the opponents so I think we should always expect that and do more than we can,” Ndidi added.

Leicester City are 12th on the log after thirteen round of matches while Tottenham have slipped to fifth.
