C2E Sports Academy and Obosa Queens FA have secured promotion to the 2027 NWFL Championship following semi-final wins in the 2026 NWFL Nationwide in Aba on Friday, www.aclsports.com reports.

At the Enyimba Stadium, C2E Sports Academy produced a remarkable comeback to defeat Kwara United Queens 4-2 in the opening semi-final.

Kwara United Queens took an early lead through Azeez Oluwabunmi in the third minute, before an own goal by Omobolanle Abdulganiu brought C2E level just before half-time.

Amarachi Nnorom restored Kwara United’s lead two minutes into the second half with an effort from outside the box, but Chidinma Gideon equalised for C2E five minutes later. Taiwo Omoniyi’s own goal then put C2E ahead in the 74th minute, before Agnes Ohuche completed the turnaround in the 87th minute with her ninth goal of the tournament.

Victoria Yakubu put Onimarg ahead in the 10th minute, but Chinemerem Nnachi levelled three minutes later. Adeomo Lovelyn restored Onimarg’s lead in the 33rd minute, before Idowu Saidat equalised in first-half stoppage time.

Saidat completed the turnaround five minutes into the second half with a direct free-kick, while Aliu Rofia added a fourth in stoppage time to seal Obosa Queens’ 4-2 victory.

C2E Sports Academy and Obosa Queens will face each other in the final of the 2026 NWFL Nationwide on Sunday, 23 August.
