Defender Tarabina Biweribo has completed a move to Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC ahead of the 2026/27 season, www.aclsports.com reports.
The 23-year-old defender has joined the Venoms on a two-year contract, strengthening the club’s defensive options as they prepare for another demanding campaign on multiple fronts.
In the NPFL, Biweribo featured prominently for Bayelsa United before earning a move to Plateau United last year. He made 20 league appearances last season, scoring twice and providing two assists.
The club’s head coach, Denis Lavagne, spoke with Vipers Media following Tarabina’s signing: “I’m pleased that we have been able to add to our squad with the arrival of Princewill. The club is a great place for him to be and his game will develop further.
“He is a young talent who has experience at a high level, and he will continue to progress by training on a daily basis alongside the experienced centre-backs we have at the club in Hilary Mukundane, Kevin Dayslva and Nicholas Mwere.
Meanwhile, Biweribo was excited to complete the move to Uganda, and he hopes to help the side defend the league they won last term.
“I am very happy to be part of the Vipers Sports Club family. I can’t wait to meet the teammates, staff and fans of the club. I know Vipers is a great club in Uganda, and they were League champions last season. We have to defend the title. I can’t wait to start working with Lavagne as I’ve seen the progress that young players can make working with him,” Biweribo said in his speech to the club’s media.
Biweribo joins fellow countryman Odili Chukwuma, who made 24 appearances for the Vipers in all competitions last term, at the club.
With domestic title defence, the Uganda Cup and CAF Champions League commitments on the horizon, Biweribo will be expected to settle quickly and bring physicality, aggression and composure to the Venoms’ backline.
