2019 AAG: Taekwondo Federation invites 24 to camp

The Nigeria Taekwondo Federation (NTF) has extended invites to 24 athletes to camp ahead of the 2019 Africa Games in Agadir, Morocco. In a list obtained by www.aclsports.com, Commonwealth gold medallists Josephine Esuku (women’s 46kg) and Shola Olowookere (men’s -68kg).

Others are African champion Uzoamaka Otuadinma (women’s -73kg) category and Ifeoluwa Ajayi (men’s 63kg). 2019 Nigeria International Open champions, Elizabeth Anyanacho (women’s 67kg) and Peter Itiku (men’s 80kg).

Director of Federations and Elite Athletes Department, Tayo Oreweme advised the athletes to say away ban substances.

Tayo Oreweme said, “As sports men and women, education is a necessity because you must understand whatever you are doing. During this camping exercise, you must abstain from ban substances; SAY NO TO DOPING”.

“I want to assure you that your welfare is one of our major priorities and I urge you all to remain united”, she added.

Josephine Esuku (-46kg), Sekinta Adebayo (-49kg), Chinazum Nwosu (-53kg), Chidimma Okoko (-57kg), Vivian Ndu (-62kg), Bukola Ogunnusi (-62kg), Alice Ikor (-62kg), Elizabeth Anyanacho (-67kg), Judith Usifoh (-67kg), Uzoamaka Otuadinma (-73kg), Chiamaka Onumonu (+73kg) and Olapeju Adeteju Oyebanji (+73kg).

Male

Abdullateef Arinola (-54kg), Abdulfathi Sanusi (-58kg), Ifeoluwa Ajayi (-63kg), Shola Olowookere (-68kg), Muhammad Baffa (-68kg), Bright Kolade    (-74kg), Mishael Akande (-74kg), Chukwudi Daniel (-74kg), Peter Itiku (–80kg), Sunday Onofe (-87kg), Benjamin Okuoimose (+87kg) and Kenneth Ogbu (+87kg).
