National Judo Champion, David Joseph has vowed to justify the limited slot given to the Nigeria Judo Federation ahead of next month’s All Africa Games in Morocco.

The Nigeria Judo Federation will parade four Judokas (2 male and 2 female) at the 12th Africa Games. Joseph won the +100kg at the National trials held in Lagos and Benin last June

The Oyo based Judoka told www.aclsports.com that he feels privileged and opportune to make it to the games.

He said, “This is the time to show to Nigerians that I did not make the team by mistake and the only way I can do that is to win a medal at the games.

“At the 2015 All Africa Games in Congo, Nigeria was able to secure two bronze medals from Fatima Bashir and Franca Audu. I want to tell you that the story will change in Morocco”.

Joseph revealed that the training session since the team arrived in camp has been eventful and challenging.

He said, “The coaches have been going extra miles to see we are given the best program. They are doing their best and the only way for us to crown their effort is to come back to Nigeria will medals”.
