Para Badminton: Nigeria wins 7 medals at Africa Ch’ship.

Nigeria Para Badminton team won a total of seven medals at the just concluded Uganda Para Badminton International 2018. The team got one gold, three silver and three bronze medals after an intense outing inside MTN Arena in Lugogo.

Chinyere Okoro won gold while Ijeoma Chukwuemeka settled for silver in the Women’s single SL3 event.

Bello Oyebanji and Chukwuebuka Eze were able to get silver in the Men’s double SL3 – SL4. In the mixed double, Bello oyebanji and Chinyere okoro came Second in the SL3 – SL5 event.

Chukwuebuka Eze and Bello Oyebanji won bronze in the Men’s single SL3 and SL4 respectively, while Chineye Okoro and Ijeoma Chukwuemeka won bronze in the Women’s doubles SL3 event.

Bello Oyebanji told www.aclsports.com that the he still needs to work more for the ultimate prize which is a gold medal.

“I feel good and noticed I’ve improved because last time, I got two bronze and this time it’s two slivers, one bronze, but still need to work more for gold is my target”, he said.

Oyebanji said, “The championship have added to my experience. I’ve noted some of what I need to work on and improve in my game”.
