Tottenham moved within a point of second-place Manchester United, after a convincing 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town at Wembley on Saturday. Son Heung-Min scored both goals as Spurs dominated their visitors from start to finish.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side were comfortable from the start, and deservedly went ahead through Son in the first half.
The Terriers improved in the second, but the home side would scored doubled their advantage via the excellent Son again to seal the win and all three points.
The result temporarily means Spurs climb above Liverpool to third, but the Reds, are a point behind and play Newcastle United later.
SWANSEA HAMMER THE HAMMERS
At the Liberty Stadium, Swansea made it four PL wins in a row, after an impressive 4-1 win over West Ham United.
Ki Sung-Yueng was the star man for the home side, scoring the opener before turning provider for Mike van der Hoorn, who doubled their advantage just after the half-hour mark.
Andy King made it 3-0 with his first goal for the Swans, after the break, with Jordan Ayew completing the rout, scoring from the spot before Michail Antonio grabbed a late consolidation for the Hammers.
The result continues the revival under Carlos Carvalhal, and sees Swansea move six points clear of relegation and 14th on the log.
