The crisis rocking the Gymnastics Federation of Nigeria (GFN) took a new twist on Saturday as the only certified Federation International Gymnastics (FIG) level two coach, Anthony Asuquo ditched the country for a yet to be disclosed country.

Asuquo who was the Technical Representative, Gymnastics Federation of Nigeria before the move accused accused its president, Kelvin Ehizogie of running the federation as a personal business.

He said if the country decides not to recognise him effort towards repositioning the federation through his time and funds, he’ll have to move elsewhere.

He wrote on his social media page, “If your country do not recognize you, don’t give up because your crown is waiting. I’m signing a new deal for gymnastics coaching, just finished with Medical”.

The Akwa Ibom born name was allegedly excluded from the Africa Youth Championships and the Commonwealth Games.
