The chief coach of Safety Babes and Safety Shooters, Bala Mohammed says his teams will take all their chances at the second phase of the 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League in Lagos.

Safety Babes topped the table in the women’s category while Safety Shooters placed third in the men’s category after the end of the first phase in Abuja.

Mohammed told www.aclsports.com that the inability of Safety Shooters to convert their chances cost them the first position at the first phase in Abuja.

He said, “Safety Babes and Safety Shooters have no other choice than to take every of their chances here in Lagos. In the first phase, my players did not convert most of their scoring chances and this made us slip to third position on the log. The girls took the chances as they came and that is why they are currently topping the top in their category.

Ahead of tomorrow fixtures, Mohammed said both teams will play every match as if it is their final match.

He said, “Safety Babes will play Abia Valiants while Safety Shooters face Owena Kings. We will not underrate any team in the league because other teams want to get points too, every match will be taken as our final.

Mohammed further said, “Kano Pillars is a good side as are Safety Shooters, when the day comes anyone who takes advantage of their chances, takes the day. In Abuja, Kano Pillars were the better side but this time around, they will not have the opportunity to repeat what happened in the first phase; they took advantage of the goals and we lost to them.

“As usual, we are coming here to do our best and just like every other team are equal to the task to lift the trophy”.
