Chioma Okafor scored the second goal and provided an assist as North Carolina Courage thrashed Chicago Stars 6–0 in the NWSL. She got a touch on Ryan Williams’ cross to set up Shinomi Koyama for the third goal. Both were her first NWSL goal contributions. Michelle Alozie started for Chicago Stars.
Six-time African Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala registered Al-Hilal’s only goal in Saturday’s Saudi Women’s Super Cup final as they lost 4–1 to Al-Nassr. She equalised in the 40th minute after Clara Luvanga had given Al-Nassr an early lead. Luvanga completed her hat-trick with two more goals in the second half to seal the victory.
Rasheedat Ajibade scored for the second consecutive game as PSG Féminine defeated Lens 2–0 in their first Première Ligue game of the season. The Super Falcons captain struck in the third minute, with fellow Nigeria international Jennifer Echegini providing the assist.
Regina Otu was on target as Fenerbahçe defeated Amed SK 3–0 in the Turkish Women’s Super League. Otu scored the second goal in the 49th minute as Fenerbahçe continued their winning start to the campaign.
Also in Turkey, Precious Obasi scored her debut goal in the 64th minute as Kayseri Kadın drew 1–1 away to 1207 Antalyaspor.
