El-Kanemi Warriors head coach, Emmanuel King, insists his team have not arrived yet despite their impressive 3-0 victory over UDIB of Guinea-Bissau in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round tie on Sunday, reports aclsports.com.
The Borno Army cruised to a 3-0 win courtesy of a much-improved second-half performance at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. However, Coach Emmanuel King, who was named head coach of the side a few weeks ago, believes the team is still a work in progress.
“We have not arrived at that point. We are still participating. But at the right time, when we get there, you will see,” Emmanuel said when asked about his satisfaction with the team’s performance.

With three goals separating the two sides, King warned his players not to lose focus in the second leg. “We have seen what happened in the first leg, so we have no option but to go there and make our supporters happy,” the former Akwa United coach added.
Following the big win in Ikenne, Elkanemi Warriors, who will be on the road for the return leg next weekend, are overwhelming favourites to progress into the final qualifying round, where they have Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca waiting.
