Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) volleyball team has signed former National U19 star, Chinedu Ekechi from Sunshine Spikers of Ondo state, www.aclsports.com reports.

Pascal was one of the country’s outstanding players at the U19 FIVB World Championship in USA expressed joy joining the newly promoted side at this year’s Nigeria Volleyball Premier league.

He promised to join forces with Dauda Saje in ensuring Nigeria Correctional Service becomes a threat in the elite league.

He said, “I feel happy and grateful to play for Nigeria Correctional Service, this is one of the things a good volleyball player looks up to.

“I am very optimistic that great result will come out from my combination with Former National team player, Dauda Saje. Saje is a good and well respected player in the country and I have been looking forward to play with him”.

“I am offering my best and total dedication to the team both on and off the court and I know with God by my team, we will be champions” Ekechi said.

He expressed happiness becoming a two times National Sports Festival gold medallist.

“It has not been easy so far, but with hard work and dedication success will come. It was a wonderful thing winning the gold medal back to back. I feel so happy and overwhelmed”.
